1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 g6 3. Nc3 Bg7 4. e4 d6 5. Nf3 O-O 6. Be2 e5 7. O-O

White moves the queen's pawn to d4. Black develops the knight to f6. White advances the c-pawn to c4.

Black moves the g-pawn to g6. White develops the knight to c3. Black develops the dark-squared bishop to g7.

White advances the king's pawn to e4. Black moves the queen's pawn to d6. White moves the knight to f3.

Black castles kingside. White develops the light-squared bishop to e2. Black advances the king's pawn to e5.

White castles kingside.
