1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Qc7

White moves the king's pawn to e4. Black advances the c-pawn to c5. White develops the knight to f3.

Black develops the knight to c6. White pushes the queen's pawn to d4. Black captures on d4 with the c-pawn.

White captures with the knight on d4. Black moves the queen to c7.
